Broughton House was founded in 1916 to care for injured soldiers and sailors returning from WW1. Since then, we have evolved into a charity, care home and support hub for the veteran community.
Our care home is a 64-bed facility in the heart of Salford, Greater Manchester, purpose-built with the sole intention of supporting the wide ex-service community through nursing, residential and residential dementia care. With an in-house gym, hairdressers, Veterans’ Mess and physiotherapist, we try to maximise independence and ensure that we provide an environment where our veterans can thrive.
The Broughton House Armed Forces Support Hub is run by a team of experts with vast experience in providing support for the ex-armed forces community, this includes ex-service personnel, who themselves have a great understanding of the delicate needs and issues at hand. The hub offers: counselling, welfare support, wellbeing service and many different types of therapy. Regardless of age, service or circumstance, we are here to help.
