Commander Graham Hockley appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order in the New Year’s Honours List

Commander Graham Hockley RN, recently retired as Secretary to the Corporation of Trinity House, has been appointed a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO) in the New Year’s Honours List 2020 in recognition of a decade’s distinguished service.

Commander Hockley is one of several maritime names to be recognised in the 2020 list.

He joined Trinity House in 2009 as Secretary; in that role he oversaw a number of activities for which the Court, Corporate Board and Corporate Department are responsible, including co-ordinating the governance of the Corporation and liaising with HRH The Master’s office, as well as managing the Corporate Department. He helped the charities’ annual expenditure rise from £3.6m to £5.8m.

The Royal Victorian Order is given by HM The Queen to people who have served her or the Monarchy in a personal way.
