At Trinity House we hold staff records for a number of staff after circa 1910. To enquire about a former member of staff please email enquiries@trinityhouse.co.uk. Please note that many of our historical records were destroyed when Trinity House suffered fires in 1666, 1715 and bombing in 1940.

Please be advised that time and resource do not permit us to undertake frequent searches of our surviving archive which means you may wait six to eight weeks for a response to your enquiry.

Please note that in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), if the date of birth of the subject of the enquiry is less than 100 years ago we are required to ask for proof of death (death certificate) before we can undertake to supply personal record information.

In the mean time you may wish to try the following organisations:

London Metropolitan Archives

The majority of Trinity House archives, including pilotage, almshouses and staff records are held at the London Metropolitan Archives. Enquiries should be emailed to ask.lma@cityoflondon.gov.uk or addressed to London Metropolitan Archives, 40 Northampton Road, London, EC1R 0HB.

Visit their website for more information.
