On 14 May 2024, Trinity House was proud to welcome the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's Torch of Commemoration on the first day of its journey from the UK to Normandy to mark D-Day’s 80th anniversary. To help pass the torch of commemoration to the next generation, Trinity House's Merchant Navy Cadets were present to receive the torch from Deputy Master Rear Admiral Iain Lower.
