At the JST our vision is of an inclusive world where we can all contribute and feel valued.

We have a unique mission, to give people of mixed abilities and circumstances the freedom to explore their ability, potential and place in the world through inclusive adventures at sea.

Beneficiaries leave our voyages with new skills and more aware of their own strengths and capabilities. They gain beliefs and attitudes that help them tackle the limitations in their life. They feel more free to explore their ability, potential and place in the world.

We are grateful for our long standing partnership with Trinity House, which focuses on public engagement in maritime environment, especially for those in hard-to-reach and disadvantaged communities, along with professional seafarer training.

We are particularly proud of The JST Trinity House Deck Officer Cadetship, which provides three full time cadet training opportunities at the JST. We have also delivered more than 1,301 days of intensive offshore training to cadets training with Chiltern Maritime, which is also generously supported by Trinity House.
