A Brief Tour of Trinity House
The LibraryThe main function room for banquets, conferences, cocktail receptions and theatre-style presentations is the versatile library at the east end of the House, which can accommodate up to 120 people. It also has a musicians' gallery, with enough space for a chamber orchestra, and a sumptuous display of silverware, including alms dishes from the 17th century and an 1880 silver saltcellar in the form of Winstanley's Eddystone lighthouse.Click here for a 360° view of the Library. Although the Library contains an important collection of Maritime books, these are concealed behind doors that form part of the panelling. Opposite the entrance are some fine examples of stained glass, some dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. |
